First Impressions – Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

It is official, I am in love! When the Sweet Peach Palette was first released I was intrigued.  The colours looked gorgeous, summery and refreshing. But I have a tendency to hesitate and wait to see what others say about new releases which can be risky with limited editions. So by the time I decided to purchase it, it was sold out! I have kicked myself ever since!!

With it being re-released I was excited and hopeful I would be able to get it in Australia. Sadly Too Faced do not ship to Australia, so I was extremely excited when it was being released in Mecca on the 31st of January and I started counting the days.

I love using oranges and peach colours! It doesn’t matter if it is eyes, blush or lips, this is one of my favourite shades!  Especially in Spring and Summer…Yum. As I am currently road testing another palette (which I like to do for a set period making as many different looks as I can) I decided I couldn’t wait to write about this one so thought I would start with a quick first impressions.

The website states: ‘Infused with the juicy, mood lifting scent and antioxidant-fueled essence of peach, this palette encases 18 shades of peachy pinks, corals, bronzes and purples. In a range of shimmer and matte finishes, create endlessly delectable looks. Includes a How-To guide to get you started.’

I have a couple of the Too Faced Palettes, but these are in the cardboard palettes as they were limited edition. I haven’t yet ventured into the Chocolate Bar ones as I can never decide which one to try first. (yes I can be indecisive but there are sooooo many palettes to choose from and always new releases and sadly only so much money available….if only I could win the lotto so I could try them all!). The Sweet Peach eyeshadow collection is in the tin packaging which is what their regular range eyeshadow palettes usually come in.

I love the sturdiness of the tin and think this will be a great palette to travel with as it will definitely keep my peach pit safe. There is a mirror inside which is great, but it is not huge so not sure if this will be a go to, but when travelling will be great to have on hand.

The smell when you open the tin is luscious and delectable! I am not sure I would call it a true peach smell, but it is sweet and I love it! I am hoping the smell lasts for a very long time.

The shadows themselves have so much pigment they swatch beautifully and without any effort. The colours are named which I think is just Peachy! (I had to throw that in there, have you noticed the other colour names I have sprinkled throughout? I just couldn’t resist and I am sure you are thinking…. bless her heart!  LOL!!) I love it when the company names them as not only is it cute but makes it easier to remember which colours you used last time. They have a soft velvet like feel to them which I love! Quite similar to my ride or die palette the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. I think there may be competition for the title of ride or die here! Lucky they are two different colour tones.

The swatches didn’t photograph as well as I would have liked.  I was testing out a different area in my home with natural lighting and it just wasn’t playing the game on the day. Some of the lighter colours blended into my skin tone but they were able to be seen in real life.

All in all, I am in love with everything about this palette and glad I grabbed it. I am really excited this palette is now one of their regular range as I feel like this will be a go to for me and that I will be hitting pan on a few of these babies!

Did you get your hands on this palette? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below. Do you have any favourite colour combinations I should try first? xx
