Contouring with Makeup Geek

I have a lot of makeup brands that I love, but Makeup Geek is at the top of my favourites list. If you have never heard of them before you need to do some serious researching! Makeup Geek is an American brand created by Marlena who has been on you-tube since 2008,  Love, love, love!!

Marlena has created a huge range of products that are not only high quality, but gorgeous and extremely affordable! No I am not affiliated with them (#goals), I am just a HUGE fan! Makeup Geek will ship any where in the world and the postage is amazingly low and they take about two weeks to arrive in Australia.

I recently ordered the contouring powder pans, yes the whole set!  It was even cheaper to buy them as a set and I love a good bargain so couldn’t resist. (insert angelic halo emoji right now….hehe). They have a cool and warm colour for every skin tone ranging from porcelain to deep. I figured that I will need different colours for different seasons/ day and night and that the colours that wont work for contouring will make a great eye shadow – I love my neutrals! Plus the pans are huge so will last me for a very long time.

The contour powders are available in a gorgeous metallic coloured compact made from a sturdy plastic, or you can purchase the pan by itself which then goes into a magnetic palette or z-palette. This is the way I tend to go as I love that I can mix and match and rearrange any time I need to. This is awesome when travelling! I can put my eye shadow, blush and contour colours all into one easy to take palette.

Don’t you just love the names!!  They are too cute!! The pigment is amazing. Just a little tip – tap off any excess powder before applying and use a light hand. With the amount of colour payoff you get, best to start off light and build up when working with contouring.
